Time to get creative

This year has been one of change. Sometimes change is subtle, like when  the seasons slowly turn and you can appreciate the cycle.  Other times it is like an unexpected thunderclap when the skies are just beginning to show signs of weather.  Not all change is bad.  This year has been a series of big and little changes.  

One change I am trying to make is being intentional about my art journals.  I have been trying to sketch at least 3 times each week.  Sometimes my sketches are pen and ink, sometimes they are more like DoodleArt.  Other times I am playing with materials in my studio room that I have not tried.  

As a new school year is beginning, I feel that same sense of anticipation I did as a grade school girl with a new school bag, fresh pencils, clean notebooks with crisp paper, and of course, a new box of crayons!!  My crayons may be a little more sophisticated now, but the sense of adventure and wonder is still there!!
