Doodle Houses

This has been a busy Fall season.  And now it is finally getting cold here (77 degrees?).  So we get to do all those fun things outdoors that we can't do during the summer months.  One thing I did get to do during the summer was play with some watercolors.  I am taking inspiration from Jean Haines and those pics should be up soon.

Right now I am enjoying playing along with Danielle Donaldson, the Creative Girl, as she uses her unique watercolor style to do mixed media pieces.  I am real tentative about mixed media, especially in my art journals, but I am getting more brave!

Here is a version of her life story mixed media pieces.  She uses all sorts of paper and ephemera on the lower half of her artwork, but I am still a Zentangle/doodle art devotee.  Using my doodle art on the lower half, I can still work on what I love to do and then spice it up with the tiny houses on legs for the top half.

I am having a blast, can't wait to see what happens next!
