Learning to Journal - the Artful Way

This month I am finally getting a few minutes to work on my fun stuff.  I have always wanted to learn to do a watercolor style travel journal.  We have several gorgeous trips planned for this year and I  want to take full advantage and paint my way thru the cities we plan to see.

I happened across Joanne Sharpe's online lettering classes.  After taking some to learn the basics of her lettering as art, I found her Draw Your Awesome Life and it is PERFECT for learning how to document and paint whatever you see wherever you are.  I am only on lesson 2 and she had us doing a version of a calendar.  I love the idea of recording what is going on in my life and in my art in a colorful way.
